What can counselling help with?
There is a huge array of issues that counselling can help with
- Eating disorders
- Relationship breakdown
- Low self-esteem
- Sexual identity
This list is just an example of some of the issues I see on a regular basis, if you’re issues aren’t on this list but you want to know if counselling could help, please get in touch.
Why Choose Counselling?
No matter how close we are to our friends or families and how much we can talk to them sometimes we need to talk to somebody else who is outside of that circle with no direct interest for a different perspective on things. Talking with me in a counselling setting gives you just that, a warm welcoming approach with no opinions forced upon you and no judgement passed.
You may be experiencing some personal things that you just don’t want to worry loved ones with or burden those who care about you. Or perhaps you’re trying to make a decision about your future and need some space to think about this without any added pressure or opinions from those around you.
You may be experiencing a loss and are struggling to deal with this and need some support.
Every individual has their own unique reasons for counselling and I am happy to work with you on whatever this may be for you.
Please feel free to contact me to discuss any issue and how I may be able to help you.
*Please note, results may vary from person to person.
What To Expect From Counselling
During sessions I will encourage you to talk openly about the issues you are facing and your emotions around those issues without any judgement passed by me. Working in this way helps you to gain a better understanding of your thoughts and feelings and together we will work on a solution, whether that be reconcile those issues or learning ways of coping and dealing with those thought processes.
I usually suggest between 6-10 sessions of counselling however this can be adjusted to suit your needs, if you feel you require more I am more than happy to work with you on a continued basis. Counselling sessions last for 50 minutes and are spaced a week apart on a rolling basis however if you want to book a block I am happy to do this to ensure you’re able to get the dates and times that suit you.
Counselling sessions cost £50 per session and can be paid on the day or upfront for your block whatever suits you.
